A leaflet has been produced by a number of local organisations working together in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland known as the Local Resilience Partenrship during the Pandemic.

Further Guidance for Burials at Syston Town Council during the Pandemic

Both Cemeteries at Syston remain open for family to attend love ones, however we have restricted attendance at funerals to 10 members of immediate family only, in addition to the funeral director/minister or celebrants. For cremated remains the number of attendance by immediate family is restricted to two.

Temporary Traffic Regulation Order - Cherry Drive, Syston

Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order at the above location.

A temporary road closure is required on Cherry Drive from 18th May 2020 for 5 days.

The road will be closed between the junction of Oak Drive and Pembroke Avenue.

Garden Waste Service Resumes

Charnwood Borough Council's Garden Waste Service (brown wheelie bin) will resume from Monday 20 April.

Service is limited for the first few weeks so please visit the Council website for information on when your bin will be emptied.

Temporary Traffic Regulation Order - The Half Croft, Syston

Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order at the above location.

A temporary road closure is required on The Half Croft on 06th May 2020 for 1 day (09:00 hours till 15:00 hours).

The road will be closed from its junction with High Street for approximately 40 metres.

RE-OPENING OF SYSTON CEMETERIES

The Government have updated and clarified their guidance that now Cemeteries without Crematoriums can be opened to the public, with social distancing rules being observed.

Both our Cemeteries will remain open unless Government guidance changes.
