Updated Press Release - Temporary Traffic Regulation Order
BARKBY ROAD, QUENIBOROUGH ROAD, GLEBE ROAD, AVENUE ROAD, BOOTON MEADOW WAY, RIDGEMERE LANE, GASCOINE AVENUE, QUENIBOROUGH / SYSTON.
Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order at the above location.
The works on Barkby Road and Queniborough Road were due to be complete on Friday 20th November 2020.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the works will now continue till Saturday 21st November 2020.
1) Barkby Road will be closed from the junction of Syston Road (Queniborough) to the junction of Ridgemere Lane (Syston).
2) Queniborough Road will be closed from the junction of Ridgemere Lane to the junction of Barkby Road (Syston).
As and when required, Glebe Road, Avenue Road, Booton Meadow Way, Ridgemere Lane, Gascoine Avenue will be closed at their junctions with Barkby Road.
The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety to allow Leicestershire County Council undertake carriageway patching works.
The proposed alternative diversion route will be via :- Syston Road (Queniborough), Melton Road (Syston), Barkby Road (Syston) and vice versa.
Leicestershire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused
during these works.
